世界エイサーシップ2025 〜World Festival〜 2/23

　「うーまくー」は、インドネシアver.の「ミルクムナリ」を沖縄で初めて演舞しました。「ミルクムナリ」の詞章を提供したのは、平田大一さんです。平田さんはインドネシアのバリ島で人々と交流したのがきっかけで、生まれ島の芸能のすばらしさに気づいたそうです。そして、インドネシアから帰るときにビジョンを見て、「ミルクムナリ」の詞章を提供することを決めたそうです。

　「ミルクムナリ」は、創作エイサーが広がる、大きなきっかけになりました。「うーまくー」はメンバー全員インドネシア人で、23年前の結成のとき、最初に練習したのは「ミルクムナリ」でした。ぼくが平田さんのエピソードを話したら、「うーまくー」は感激して、「ミルクムナリ」をインドネシアver.の振付で踊ることになりました。

　ぼくは、平田さんの世界観と、平田さんが作り出す舞台がとても好きです。創作でも「エイサー」と呼ぶからには、沖縄の歴史によって育まれた、核となる世界観を大切にしたいです。これからの活動について、あらためて考える機会になったのはよかったです。ありがとうございました。

　I performed together with "Umaku Eisa Shinka Indonesia". Although the rehearsal was cancelled and there was some sound problems, the stage was fun even with all the mishaps. Thanks to everyone involved for this event.



　Umaku performed the Indonesian version of "Milk Munari" for the first time in Okinawa. Daiichi Hirata, who offered the lyrics for "Milk Munari", noticed the wonderfulness of the performing arts of his native island after interacting with people of Bali. Then, when he returned from Indonesia, he had a vision and decided to offer the lyrics for "Milk Munari".

　"Milk Munari" was a big catalyst for the spread of creative eisa. All members of Umaku are Indonesian, and when Umaku formed 23 years ago, the first dance they practiced was "Milk Munari". When I told them the episode of Hirata san, Umaku was so moved that they decided to dance "Milk Munari" with the Indonesian version of the choreography.

　I really respect Hirata san's worldview and the stage performances he creates. If we call our performance "creative eisa," I want to cherish the core of the worldview which is nurtured by Okinawan history. It was good to have the opportunity to think anew about my future activities. Thank you very much.
